With summer in full swing, I wanted to share this refreshing summer table setting that was inspired by my recipe for Lemon Blueberry Bread.
I used my Lausanne porcelain china by Royal Doulton with classic white dinnerware to add an elegant vintage touch. The white and yellow flowers, gray leaves and trim tie in perfectly with this blue and yellow colour theme. I used my serving platter purchased from one of my favourite stores, HomeSense Canada, for the Lemon Blueberry Bread.
It’s quite easy to incorporate china into a less formal style. You can pick out colors in your china, then look for matching fabric napkins, flowers, etc. to tie it all in.
I love to incorporate pieces from my crystal collection whenever I can. For this setting I used glasses, candle holders, vases and a beautiful swan dish.
One of the best things about summer is having fresh flowers to use in your table setting. Have fun choosing flowers that match this Refreshing Summer Table Setting colour scheme! I used yellow mini gerbera and marigolds for the main centrepiece and blue delphinium, hydrangea and lavender around the table.
Combine these elements and you can easily host a summer party that your guests will love. Have fun!
