Spring is right around the corner in beautiful British Columbia, and nothing says Spring like tulips and hyacinths. These fresh and beautiful Spring blooms are the inspiration for A Spring Time Farmhouse Tablescape!
Every Spring I’m so inspired by the beauty that surrounds us across the province, especially in the Fraser Valley, home of the Abbotsford Bloom Tulip Festival, Chilliwack Tulip Festival, and the Cultus Lake Flower Fest.
Fresh flowers are readily available from local businesses across the Fraser Valley including Devan Greenhouses, Cedar Rim Nursery and Minter Country Garden, so it makes it easy for me to feature beautiful floral centerpieces in the tablescapes I create.
Looking for some early Spring entertaining inspo? A Spring Time Farmhouse Tablescape is all you need!
My tablescape design starts with a beautiful mauve and white tablecloth featuring green and white florals that is a gift from my Mother, whose favourite colour happens to be mauve.
I love this unique coloured tablecloth ~ it compliments the purple tulips and hyacinths so well. For the centerpiece, I chose a small white farmhouse pitcher for a more casual look. The hyacinths sit in three glass vases in a metal farmhouse stand.
Metal accents are a home decor trend that I love, and this tablescape features some of my favourites.
And how cute are the cast-iron bee tea light candle holders that show bees in flight, ready to pollinate early spring flowers?
The cast iron bird with nest tealight holder is another indicator that Spring is on its way, and more curious cast iron birds perched on branches look on.
There are two sets of birdcage motif ceramic coasters in metal stands at each end of the table.
I added tall white wooden candle holders topped with pillar candles to add a fresh farmhouse feel.
Simple white plates and white napkins with floral details were used to keep the table setting simple and fresh. The footed clear glass goblets add a simple elegance and are filled with refreshing lemon-lime punch. And even the Oneida flatware has a floral pattern!
And what about these delicious Mini Lemon and Key Lime Cheesecakes? Oh my gosh, they are so g-o-o-o-d! Follow the link for this new recipe.
