A homemade Classic Acai Bowl is a nutritious and refreshing superfood breakfast or snack. It takes just minutes to make and requires simple ingredients.
I became obsessed with Acai Bowls during a family Christmas trip to Maui a few years ago. Since then, I have been making homemade Acai Bowls for breakfasts and snacks.
They are so simple to make. You only need a few simple ingredients, including frozen Acai, banana, fresh fruit or seasonal berries, granola, honey, coconut, nuts or seeds.
I used SAMBAZON unsweetened frozen mixed berry packs. You can find frozen acai at most whole food stores in several different flavours.
My husband and I love to discover quaint local shops and restaurants in our area, and on one of our outings to White Rock we discovered Islands Cafe. A sweet little cafe where you can find the most delicious Acai Bowls. The cozy atmosphere here takes me back to Maui every time and their tropical Acai Bowls are so delicious!
