How to Make Jumbo Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  2. Add flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Mix until well blended. Stir in chips and raisins.
  3. Drop dough in 1/4 cup mounds onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Flatten each cookie into a circle.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Cool on pan 5 minutes, remove and finish cooling on a rack.

These cookies are so soft and chewy. My family loves the combination of raisins and chocolate chips.

And if you want MORE CHOCOLATE ~ sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on the top while they are baking!

If you want to switch it up, this recipe is an excellent base for all kinds of cookies. Swap the chocolate chips or raisins for dried cranberries, chopped nuts or dried fruit.

These cookies are simple to make ahead of time ~ great for a grab-and-go breakfast. I honestly don’t think that there is a better version of a breakfast cookie.
