Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to have a special date with the one you love. Today I’m bringing you some Valentine’s Day decor inspiration with my Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Tablescape.
My daughter Lauren married her sweetheart Taylor last July in a beautiful country garden ceremony, and I love that they had a sweetheart table at their reception. It was so special to see them cuddled together at the cutest little table ever. Their wedding sweetheart table is the inspiration for my Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Tablescape.
Planning a special date for Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you have to cook up a storm. Sweet treats and a pop of champagne is all you really need to enjoy a romantic Valentine’s Day date at home.
A small cozy table for two at a window with a view is the backdrop for this Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Tablescape.
I created a romantic setting incorporating design elements from Lauren and Taylor’s wedding, like the blush and gold colour scheme.
I started with a classic white tablecloth for a fresh look, with Pier 1’s Mesa Cameo Placemats in rose. Next, I set the table using Gold Luster Rim Charger Plates and Blush and Gold Dot Salad Plates, both from Pier 1. I used my go-to white dinner plates and white cotton napkins.
And check out the adorable Glittered Pink Hearts! They provided the final touch ~ also from Pier 1. The formal Oneida flatware is one of my favourite wedding gifts that I bring out for every special occasion.
Another design element reminiscent of Lauren and Taylor’s wedding is the gorgeous floral centerpiece designed by Flowers and Company in Langley; the same floral company chosen for the wedding! I’m amazed by every single floral bouquet made by my friends at Flowers and Company, and I fill my home with their creations regularly.
I tucked away a few extra floral paper napkins from the wedding dessert table, and I think the gold embossed “love” ties in perfectly with this Valentine’s Day theme.
The Pinwheel crystal swan candy dish is a favourite in my collection, and it is filled with decadent La Suissa Italian Chocolates.
The showstopper on this lovely table has to be my Valentine Linzer Cookies. They are so pretty, plus they taste as good as they look! I added pink strawberry meringues that I picked up at our local Save-On-Foods. My gold-trimmed glass tiered dessert stand is the perfect size for these cookies.
I love the burgundy and rose velvet heart ornaments from La Belle Vie ~ an absolutely adorable home decor store right around the corner in Cloverdale.
I found these beautiful crystal wine glasses at Marshalls and quickly popped them in my basket. I love how the crystals sparkle! For more sparkle inspiration take a look at my Sparkle & Shine Christmas Tablescape.
And every romantic date should include candles! The pair of crystal flower votives are so cute on this sweetheart table for two.
A great find is the vibrant Fresita Sparkling Wine with Strawberries. A remarkable pairing for desserts!
